Who We Are
Framemakers is a family-owned and operated frame shop and art gallery, where creativity and community beautifully intersect. Carey and Bekah Watson, along with their son Taylor, bring over 45 years of combined experience in the picture framing and art industry to every piece they create. Carey's journey began in the early '90s at one of Atlanta’s largest contemporary art galleries, where he honed his framing skills and established himself as a talented artist.
Together, they ran their own art and framing gallery for over a decade in midtown Atlanta. Carey focused on refining his artistry and showcasing his work, while Bekah excelled in design and nurturing lasting relationships with clients. In 2021, they fulfilled their dream of opening a shop close to home in Winder, GA, where Carey's art is proudly displayed alongside pieces from other regional artisans. As proud parents of adult twin sons and two very spoiled golden retrievers, Molly and Sophie, they invite you to stop by—you’re likely to meet the whole family!
In early 2024, their son Taylor joined the family business. With a background in design and art framing, Taylor brings an eclectic mix of interests in film and pop culture, along with a genuine curiosity about all forms of art and the personal stories behind each project. Often described as the “scatterbrain” of the family, he excels at out-of-the-box thinking, diving deep into the connections between art and clients to capture those unique, beautiful stories in every design.
When they’re not at the shop or in their home studio, Carey and Bekah enjoy the great outdoors, hiking local trails or kayaking at nearby lakes. Taylor can often be found juggling his many hobbies—hiking, enjoying nights out with friends, playing music, reading manga, and pursuing a healthy, mindful lifestyle.
